On July 5, Pirelli Tire announced that it would acquire Brazilian natural rubber
On July 5, Pirelli Tire announced that it would acquire Brazilian natural rubber producer Hevea-Tec for approximately $23 million and plans to increase its production capacity.
This move can lay the foundation for Pirelli's sustainable development in the coming years.
Founded in 1999, Hevea-Tec is considered the largest independent natural rubber processor in Brazil.
The transaction is subject to antitrust approval and is expected to be completed later this year.
Once the transaction is finally completed, Hevea-Tec will directly link Pirelli to sustainable rubber production and procurement, thereby further advancing Pirelli's sustainable development goals.
